Tacugama Chimp Sanctuary Tour

The work of the Sierra Leone Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Programme at Tacugama is definitely worth seeing. Their eco-lodges are beautiful.

There are tour tours at 10:30am and 4:00pm, 7 days a week and this can be easily combined with one of our city tours. The tours are timed to coincide with the feeding of the chimps which gives you the maximum opportunity to see the chimps in action. Tacugama is in Barthurst (20mins from downtown Freetown).
